Guidelines for Registration and Article Submission to the Political Management Journal

1. Registration Process

To register on the Political Management Journal’s submission system, please follow the steps below:

  • Select the “Register” option on the system login page;

  • Complete all required fields, including first name, last name, email address, and other mandatory items marked with an asterisk;

  • Save the entered information;

  • Log in to the system using the username and password sent to your email;

  • Register at ORCID and

  • Insert your ORCID ID in the author information file when submitting your article (this is mandatory).


2. Publication Rights and License

3. Authors’ Responsibilities

Authors are required to:

  • Download the Commitment and Conflict of Interest Form (in both Persian and English), complete, sign, scan, and upload it along with the manuscript;

  • Obtain a similarity report from the “Samim-Noor” system and upload it to the journal portal (similarity must be below 10%);

  • Include an Acknowledgment section at the end of the manuscript, especially acknowledging financial or institutional support.


4. Manuscript Submission Requirements

  • Manuscripts must be original and not submitted to or published in any other journal simultaneously;

  • Research ethics must be strictly observed and all sources must be cited accurately;

  • Only original research articles are accepted; translations are not accepted;

  • The main structure of the article must include the following sections:

  1. Title

  2. Abstract in Persian and English

  3. Introduction and Research Background

  4. Literature Review

  5. Methodology

  6. Data Analysis

  7. Discussion of Findings

  8. Conclusion and Suggestions for Future Studies


5. Manuscript Structure Guidelines

Title

  • The title must be written in both Persian and English;

  • In the English title, the first letters of key words (nouns, verbs, adjectives, adverbs) must be capitalized.

Abstract

Persian Abstract (approximately 250 words) including:
A) Background and problem statement
B) Research objective
C) Methodology
D) Findings
E) Conclusion

English Abstract (700–1200 words) including:
A) Introduction
B) Objective
C) Method
D) Findings
E) Conclusion

Use of automatic translation systems (such as Google Translate) is not acceptable. The English abstract must be of publishable quality.


Keywords

  • Both Persian and English keywords must include at least 5 and no more than 7 terms;

  • English keywords must be alphabetically ordered and capitalized.


Formatting Rules

Use Persian terms throughout the manuscript;
The original English term may be provided only in footnotes.

Word limit

The total word count must not exceed 10,000 words.


Fonts and Sizes

  • Main Text: B Yas, size 13

  • Title: size 18

  • Headings: size 13, bold

  • Authors’ names: size 11, bold

  • In-text citations: Persian size 12, English size 11

  • Footnotes: Persian size 9, English size 8

  • Academic affiliation (footnote): size 9

English Abstract

  • Title: Times New Roman 14 Bold

  • Text: Times New Roman 11

Line Spacing

  • Single spacing

  • “Before” and “After” spacing set to zero


6. Authors’ Information

In the first-page footnote, include:

  • Full Name

  • Academic Rank and Field of Study

  • University and Institutional Affiliation

  • Email Address


7. Acknowledgment

Authors must insert a paragraph titled “Acknowledgment” before the References section. This may include thanks to:

  • Financial sponsors

  • Supervisors or academic advisors

  • Research institutions and collaborating organizations


8. Academic Rank and Status Terminology

9. Referencing Style

In-text Citation

Persian: ATU Style, e.g. (Tabatabaei, 1384: 53)
English: APA, 6th edition, e.g. (Alavi, 2015, p. 152)

If several works by one author in the same year:
(Tabathabaei, 1384(a): 53)

References must be listed alphabetically (Persian and English) with hanging indentation.

Important Note:

Persian references must also be translated into English at the end of the article.
